New Principal at LNHS

VETERAN ADMINISTRATOR APPOINTED AS LIBERTY NORTH HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPALThe Liberty School Board has tapped Dr. Marty Jacobs, a veteran Liberty principal and administrator, to serve as the principal at Liberty North High School. Liberty North is the district’s second high school slated to open in the fall of 2010. In preparation for the opening, Dr. Jacobs will begin working with staff, architects, students, and community to prepare for a smooth opening and transition for Liberty North High School.

After five months of meetings, community and student voting, the Liberty North Blue and Gold Eagles is born!

The Liberty Public School District received a number of high quality submissions from students, teachers and graphic artists from our community. After many meetings, representatives from academics, athletics, and fine arts reached a unanimous decision on the new face of Liberty North High School.

Local graphic artist Michael Scheible designed the original artwork. Michael is employed by Hallmark Cards and is a former employee of Nike. He has also worked on several college and professional team logos.

The new logo was unveiled at the April 20 Board of Education meeting.
